Strain Review: Trulieve Mandarin Dream

I decided last minute to choose Mandarin Dream, from Trulieve, as the strain I wanted to review for this piece.

Close Call

I waited till about 30 minutes before Trulieve was closing to submit my online order. (I know I know, I should have called sooner.) However, I was immediately sent my order confirmation email. I knew with it being so close to closing that I may not be able to get my order at all. But, I took a chance, hopped into the car, and drove there. Walking in the door about 12 minutes before they closed, I was scared. I was afraid I would be told without my actual order text confirmation that I would be unable to pick up my order. Kindly greeted at the desk, I checked in right away as was another person who showed up a few minutes after me. Whew! Just made it!

Closing Time

Once I got back to the showroom I noticed that I was the last patient yet no one else seemed bothered by that. None of the employees seemed rushed or irritated that they had to wait on another patient before leaving. I am incredibly grateful for that, and I had already ordered ahead, so I knew I wouldn’t keep anyone too far over their actual closing time.

All the dispensaries tend to have different regulations on showing up close to closing time. Some are very strict and won’t even take you at 15 minutes before closing and others will welcome you with a huge smile as long as you make it one minute before that clock changes to closing time. Anyway, let’s discuss the strain that I was lucky enough to get… Mandarin Dream. I am normally a sativa girl and I don’t usually go toward indica strains. However, for the review, I decided to pick this strain and try something a little different. After all that’s what life is all about, right? Taking chances?

Mandarin Dreams - Appearance

Let me just tell you how glad I was that I did! First of all… WOW! I popped the top of the container and the flower looked amazing when I opened it up. The buds were plentiful, tight, and well trimmed nugs. (There’s nothing worse than “stem weight.”)

Effects

And, truth be told, I was a little irritated with the home stress when I tried this strain. Maybe it’s the little bit of CBD it contained or maybe it was just because it’s an indica, but a few seconds later I noticed all of the stress I was having quickly lifted away and left me with a beautiful sense of calmness. I was pleasantly surprised with the effects of this beauty as I wasn’t couch locked. I was actually chill and motivated. My head became incredibly clear and I didn’t feel too overwhelmed with anything anymore.

The next morning I had a small stomach ache so I preceded to smoke a bong hit of Mandarin Dream and was instantly relieved of my tummy troubles. I didn’t find it to suppress my appetite in any way. In fact noticed I enjoyed my breakfast more than usual.

Normally I shy away from indicas because they make me too sleepy but Mandarin Dream didn’t do that at all.  I don’t know why, but I have completely overlooked this strain in the past and I won’t make that mistake again. I hope you don’t either.

Taking a Cannabis Tolerance Break

Tolerance refers to your body’s process of getting acclimated to cannabis, and, over time, you may find that the plant’s effects are lessened. That means that you need to consume more to obtain the same results. How does this happen? Although there hasn’t been much research done on tolerance, scientists do know that continuous use

Hemp Hemp Hooray!

The new Farm Bill, which gets renewed every five years or so, has been in the news lately. The bill has been applauded for increasing support measures for little farms, but overall criticized for favoring factory farms and not doing enough where it does help. But we can debate about those issues some other time;
